Cherokee Global Brands, a marketer of lifestyle brands said it has entered into a new license agreement with Sears Canada Inc. effective May 3, 2015.

The multi-year agreement covers a wide range of Cherokee family lifestyle categories including men's, women's and children's clothing, footwear and accessories and is planned to launch in Spring 2016.

Additionally, through another agreement, both Cherokee Global Brands and Sears Canada Inc said they pleased to welcome Liz Lange Maternity and Sportswear to Sears Canada stores.

A fashion designer and mother, Liz Lange pioneered maternity chic by creating stylish, body conscious clothes for pregnant women and revolutionised maternity wear.

“The line to be carried at Sears offers affordable maternity pieces, from flattering jeans and t-shirts to on-trend dresses and swimsuits for pregnancy and beyond,” a press release from Cherokee informed.

Howard Siegel, COO at Cherokee Global Brands said, "For almost 20 years, Cherokee has been recognised as a premier family lifestyle brand throughout Canada.”

“We are excited to be able to continue that tradition and announce our partnership with Sears Canada, one of Canada's leading multi-channel department store retailers,” he added.

Siegel further added, "We are also very excited to partner with Sears Canada and to have the opportunity to continue to bring the Liz Lange brand to a broader customer base in Canada.”

“In addition to Liz Lange maternity wear, the Canadian consumer will now be able to buy stylish sportswear at affordable prices that extends Liz Lange style beyond maternity," he observed.

He too added, “Expectant mothers shop with us for infant apparel and we expect Liz Lange maternity wear to be a solution that fulfills the needs of expectant moms to find clothes for themselves.”

Liz Lange also opined, "I am very much looking forward to working closely with Sears Canada to continue to bring great style and value with our fashionably designed maternity and sportswear collections."
